Solvent Reclaim Equipment

When using the solvent reclaim process, you must determine the boiling point of your solvent.  Once determined, a solvent reclaimer can be used to heat the waste solvent to its boiling point.  At its boiling point, the solvent turns into a vapor.  The vapor exits the distillation chamber and enters the condenser where it is cooled.  As the vapor cools, it turns back into a liquid.

Solvent reclaiming reduces hazardous waste.  As the waste is heated during the solvent reclaim process, the solvent will turn to vapor.  Remaining in the solvent reclaimer, you will find the waste that once contaminated the solvent. Using solvent distillers, you can eliminate the need for waste removal services and may significantly cut down on solvent purchasing through recycling.

A solvent reclaim unit with dual set points for temperature may be used to separate individual components in a waste stream.  The solvent with the lower set point must first be removed by operating the unit at the lower boiling point.  After the first solvent has been reclaimed, the solvent distiller switches to the higher set point to distill the second solvent.
