What is Solvent Recycling?
Solvent Recycling utilizes a distillation unit to separate a process solvent from its contaminant for reuse. This process consists of heating the mixture until the solvent reaches its vaporization point. Once the solvent vaporizes, it enters a condenser unit where it is cooled back into liquid form leaving the contaminant behind. The volume of usable solvent from the waste solvent mixture will normally approach 99.9% and reach purity levels equal to virgin product.
Why Use Waste Solvent Recycling?
Waste solvent recycling with one of our solvent stills provides many benefits, such as:
- Savings on new solvent purchasing, and waste solvent disposal.
- Lower EPA generator status, meaning less paperwork and fees.
- Reduced onsite hazardous waste storage.
- Increased productivity of solvent cleaning operation.
- Lower labor costs associated with storage and transport of solvent waste.
Using a solvent reclaimer allows companies to do right by the environment while reducing costs.
