Solvent Recycler

A solvent recycler utilizes distillation to separate a process solvent from its contaminant (i.e. paint, ink, oil etc.) for reuse. The process consists of heating the mixture until the solvent reaches its vaporization point. Once the solvent vaporizes, it enters a condenser unit where it is cooled back into liquid form leaving the contaminant behind. The volume of usable solvent from the mixture will normally approach 99.9% and reach purity levels equal to virgin product.
Use of a solvent distillation unit will decrease the amount of waste solvent disposed. The decrease in hazardous waste will help facilities meet EPA requirements for waste reduction and may also help facilities reduce their generator status. Using a solvent distillation unit may also decrease the amount of solvents on site below any Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) reporting thresholds.
Some of the benefits that can be achieved by an organization using NexGen's solvent recycling solutions are:
- Less hazardous waste and hazardous air emissions are generated.
- Reduces hazardous waste disposal costs.
- Provides solvent cost savings.
- Reduces worker exposure to solvent, hazardous waste, and hazardous air emissions.
